Murasaki refers to both the heroine of the Genji Monogatari (The Tale of Genji), and the book's author. 'The Tale of Genji' written in the 11th century CE by Murasaki Shikibu, a court lady, is Japan's oldest novel and possibly the first novel in world literature.

MDO 122 annd 126 BEYOND

Scientists have glimpsed the event horizon of a black hole for the very first time. “We’ve been studying black holes so long that sometimes it’s easy to forget that none of us has actually seen one,” said France Cordova, director of the US National Science Foundation

At present every kind of dogma stands with sad and discouraged mien. If, indeed, it stands at all! For there are scoffers who maintain that it has fallen, that all dogma lies on the ground. There are good grounds for hoping that all dogmatizing in philosophy, whatever solemn, whatever conclusive and decided airs it has assumed, may have been only a noble puerilism and tyronism.
